3 Reasons Why Gago Should Be Looking For A New Club

Real Madrid defensive midlfielder Fernando Gago

Fernando Gago is almost certain to leave Real Madrid having seen himself going down from being a regular starter to warming the bench for the whole season. Many clubs would be after him I think. Here is why I think he should leave Real Madrid. Well, first and foremost, it is because he will not be getting any playing time next season if all things go as planned. Mourinho seemingly is not impressed with what Gago has to offer. Gago is not that good of a player to change Mourinho's mind by giving an out of the world performance against top teams when given a random single chance which Mourinho does give from time to time to bench warmers. Gago should know that he is a good enough player to play for any other big club. It is just that he arrived at a difficult time at Real Madrid. Ramon Calderon was trying to take Real Madridina different direction and Perez does not want a player signed in that period to have anything to do with what Real Madrid achieve during Perez's period. … [Read more...]

3 Reasons Why Messi Is Not The Best Player In The World

Messi of Barcelona

Barcelona have won the Champions League and the La Liga title as well. Got into the finals of Copa Del Ray as well and had it not been for the efforts of Real Madrid, Barcelona would have had yet another treble and yet another trophy under the guidance of Per Guardiola. Many people are now hailing Messi as the best ever player. Well, he is not the best ever. He is not even the current best I think. He may be the best dribbler in the world. He is certainly the quickest player in the world but to say that he is the best player in the world is I think a bit debatable. There are many reasons for that. 3 of them are: Ronaldo is way more all rounded player than Messi. Messi cannot head the ball. Cannot take free kicks as well as Ronaldo and does not have brute pace. Hence, in a very restricted system of football, is Messi made to appear better than Ronaldo. Messi's 53 goals are in no way equal to Ronaldo's 54 (or 53 if you like) goals this season. Firstly, because most of the goals … [Read more...]

What on earth happened to Van Der Sar?

Messi with the number 10 jersey

Ok. Barcelona have won the Champions League by beating Manchester United. 2 of the 3 goals scored by Barcelona can and must be attributed to Lionel Messi. Villa's finish was no doubt magnificent for the 3 rd goal after some hard work done on the left side by Messi. But what the heck was Nani doing, marking Messi on the left back position. That is something strange, well does not matter now. About the 2nd goal scored by Messi for Barcelona. What on earth happened to Van Der Saar. I mean, it was obviously obvious that Barcelona were targeting the left hand of Van Der Saar. May be he is not as quick on that side as he is with his right hand. But the shot from Lionel Messi, though powerful, was almost straight down the middle. Why the heck did Van Der Saar not even get a touch on the ball is somethingthatneeds to be addressed. Messi was allowed far too much space. He is a great player and he will punish people for leaving him unmarked. That goal was I think a bit too easy for Lionel … [Read more...]

Barcelona 3-1 Manchester United

ball on the grass

The scoreline is a bit disappointing to be honest. Pedro scored for Barcelona early on in the game. Wonderful pass and move game again from Iniesta and Xavi. Manchester United equalized some 8 minutes later through Rooney. Goal of the match was scored my Lionel Messi. He also broke the record for most goals scored in a single edition of UEFA Champions League which was previously held by Rudd Van Nistelrooy. After Messi's goal it was pretty much Barcelona all the way even though some might say Manchester United tried to createsomethingout of the match. Villa ended the match with a goal on the 69rd minute mark. Disappointing season for Manchester United now. But, at least they have won the league. Congratulations to Barcelona for winning a title for which they should not have beenplaying … [Read more...]

Hernandez Willing To Join Real Madrid If An Offer Comes

Chicharito of Mexico

He could play for Real Madrid (photo by americanistadechipas) Even though he has had a great season with Manchester United, Javier Hernandez is still being linked with Real Madrid. The 22 year old started his career at Manchester United in July of 2010 and less than a year later, he is being linked to a move away from Manchester United. That is quite interesting. I thought Real Madrid would not be looking for a striker this season but reports have suggested otherwise. We have been linked with a move for Adebayor. No offense but Adebayor is just not Real Madrid stuff yet. I mean, he wastes a lot of chances and has a very limited game. He cannot put a foot right after he takes a long ball onto his chest and thus has to pass the ball to someone else, almost every time he receives the ball. That I think will always work against him. He needs to develop some dribbling skills in order to take on defenders and create danger. Anyway, Hernandez has scored 20 goals in 44 games this season … [Read more...]

Calderon on Real Madrid’s coach Jose Mourinho

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon is at it again. He has given an interview in which he talked extensively about the current Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho. Calderon also had a thing or two to say about the current Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. Ramon Calderon has been known to make big statements since his departure from the club. Last time I checked, he also said that he signed C.Ronaldo, not Florentino Perez. Just about everything good about Real Madrid right now is due to him, according to Ramon Calderon. Calderon has compared Jose Mourinho with Hitler of Germany. Now I have not taken world history as a subject, ever but I do know that hitler killed a lot of people. Mourinho has not killed anyone (obviously), so to compare to personalities of different nature is unfair I think. Ok, it might be true that both have somethings in common. Like both want to be in complete control of the things they are involved in and as far as I can tell, both do not like to be … [Read more...]

Gunners want Real Madrid’s big Gun

Karim Benzema of Real Madrid tries to get away from the defender

Arsenal apparently want to sign Karim Benzema from Real Madrid, for God knows what amount. One thing that we can predict from the past is that Arsenal are not known as heavy spenders. They are more like, heavy sellers. A selling club, so I do not understand the reason why Wenger had to make the comments that he did make. Apparently, Wenger is a huge admirer of Benzema and thinks that Karim Benzema is one of the best strikers in the world. Wenger was very particular about Karim Benzema's work ethic and his positioning relative to his teammates. He thinks this gives Benzema a clear advantage over other fellow strikers in world football. Benzema's agent has outright denied that Karim Benzema wants to leave Real Madrid. He says that Benzema is happy at Real Madrid and wants to play every game with the same energy and enthusiasm. Though, reports say that Real Madrid want to extend Adebayor's stay and that is why they want to sell Benzema in order to fund Adebayor's … [Read more...]

Valdano leaves Real Madrid

Valdano listening to some lecture of some sorts

Oh My GOD! This is huge. Jorge Valdano, Real Madrid sporting director (or whatever he is) has left Real Madrid. I have been waiting for this moment the day since Mourinho arrived at Real Madrid. Word has it that they both did not get along with each other. Finally Perez decided that Valdano was bringing his personal matters into the running of the club and sacked him. Thank you Perez. Even though Perez would say he did not want to and Mourinho had no say in it. The fact is, Mourinho did it, Mourinho kicked Valdanoout ofReal Madrid for which I am grateful to him. Valdano was a superb negotiator but I think this time, his agenda was to oppose Mourinho and that was hurting the club. I think Perez has made a wise decision to let go of Valdano instead of Mourinho. Right after La Liga ended, rumors had it that either Mourinho will be at the club next season or Valdanoand … [Read more...]

Aguero to Real Madrid?

Decked in white

News has it that Sergio Aguero wants to leave Atletico Madrid. Not only does he wants to leave his boyhood team, but he wants to leave for none other than Real Madrid. Real Madrid of course are sworn enemies of Atletico Madrid and a deal is going to be very unlikely. In the past Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have transferred players from one club to the other but I think this time, it will not happen. There are many reasons for that and one of those could be the shear amount of big clubs after Aguero. Barcelona, Chelsea and Milan among many others are all looking to signAguero. Why would he then choose Real Madrid over all these other big clubs and in the process upset Atletico Madrid fans. I do not think that he will do it. Plus, the fact that he knows that he will have limited playing time at Real Madrid. His price tag is another issue I think will pushReal … [Read more...]

Oezil says Real Madrid will be better than Barcelona

Real Madrid player Oezil

Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Oezil thinks that Real Madrid will be better than Barcelona next season. I do not think that he said that just to boost team morale. I think Real Madrid will be better than Barcelona next season and there are a lot of reasons for that. One of them is, Real Madrid's team chemistry is going to further increase and this will make Real Madrid play as a single unit rather than a group of stars. Real Madrid almost matched Barcelona this season except for the first game of the season against Barcelona and in fact Real Madrid were better than Barcelona in all the other games that took place this season. Real Madrid did not get beat by Barcelona while Real Madrid had11men on the field. For next season Jose Mourinho is probably going to try for Terry, the Chelsea center back and I think he will be a great addition to our squad. As far as Pepe goes, I think Mourinho wants to use him as a defensive midfielder, at least against Barcelona. The signing of … [Read more...]
