Some facts I found while scanning through the news and the La Liga table.
- Real Madrid have played 6 games so far this season in La Liga and have amassed a total of 13 points. Barcelona as usual are sitting on top with 14 points but most surprisingly, it is Levante which is sitting on 2nd position. Interestingly, Levante beat Real Madrid just two weeks ago 0-1 at home which their director described as the greatest moment in the history of their club. It is just unfortunate that Real Madrid had to be at the receiving end of that and not Barcelona. But Barcelona were also lucky to get a draw out of Valencia at Mestella 2-2 which could have been easily 2-5 or something to Valencia.
- Real Madrid have scored 20 goals so far in La Liga which comes to about 3.3 goals per game which is incredible. What is even more incredible is that there is a team which has scored more and that obviously is Barcelona. Barcelona has scored 23 goals so far this season.
- Real Madrid have conceded just 4 goals in 6 games. By now you should be expecting that, that cannot be the best that any team has done this season. Barcelona and Levante have both conceded just 3 goals in 6 games which is why they sit at the top of the table. Attack wins you matches and defense wins you titles, that is something many coaches have told throughout the ages.
- Real Madrid have lost 1 game while our fierce rivals have yet to lose a game this season. If that was not enough for you to bang your head against the wall then listen to this. Levante is the second team which has not lost a single match this season. That is unbelievable if you compare the amount of money Levante invest in their squad when compared to Barcelona or Real Madrid.
- Last fact is not really related to Real Madrid but is related to the state of La Liga. The difference between Barcelona and the last placed team in La Liga Sporting Gijon is of 13 points. While in EPL the difference of points between Manchester United and Bolton (First and Last teams respectively) is 16 points. Therefore, this puts an end to the discussion about the possibility of La Liga being a weaker league when compared to BPL, which clearly is not the case.
