Mourinho has put an end to all the speculation now. He says Real Madrid squad is more or less complete now and he is happy with the players he has. Real Madrid were able to sign Hamit Altintop, Jose Maria Callejon, Fabio Coentrao, Nuri Sahin and Raphael Varane this summer and were heavily linked to Neymar as well (Santos’s young striker) but negotiations have broken down I think on that one.
Mourinho though thinks that he has enough quality in the squad right now to compete for everything in the season 2011-2012. Mourinho also talked about UEFA reducing his ban and said that it was a victory and nothing that he had said before was wrong.
His ban is now of two games only, before it was of 3 games but Mourinho has warned us all by saying “No one can shut me up”, which means more conspiracy and more entertainment for us all to enjoy and look forward to come next season.
Mourinho also talked about clash against Barcelona and said that like the previous clasicos this one was going to be a very close one as well.
Good news for Mourinho and Real Madrid fans in general, Sergio Ramos has been declared fit to play against Barcelona and is named in the squad list for Aug 14 clash against Barcelona.
Though Sahin, Altintop and Grenaro will all miss the match due to injuries. Barcelona have named their full strength squad which is a good thing as that indicates that both sides plan on taking each other apart during the match.
Any predictions for the match?. I will not make any as I got it horribly wrong on the first occasion Mourinho’s Real Madrid faced Barcelona. Oh, forget it, I think it will be 2-0 to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
