Lassana Diarra’s Future At Real Madrid

Citoyen du Munde Lassana Diarras Future At Real Madrid

Reports have said that there are some problems between Diarra and Real Madrid. Apparently Diarra wants a move away from Real Madrid and Real Madrid do want to sell him but only if some club comes up with 25 million euros.

That is a price no one is willing to pay for Lassana Diarra and this is what is causing Diarra some problems. Reports also have it that, Diarra wants Real Madrid to lower his asking price so that potential clubs could approach Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are adamant that their evaluation of the player is totally justified.

However, Lassana Diarra’s agent has said that there are no problems between Diarra and Real Madrid. It is true that Diarra has been unable to feature regularly in the starting eleven and by the looks of it, he will struggle to establish himself as a regular starter in Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid. That is the reason why Diarra is looking for a summer move away from Real Madrid.

Manchester United and Liverpool are said to be interested in acquiring Diarra’s services. Juventus are also in the mix, along with Arsenal and Chelsea for whom Diarra has played before.

Diarra’s agent however says that Diarra is not looking for another club. Here is what he said:

“Lass is on holiday, but he is not trying to open up a cold war. The player wants to make it clear that he respects the club and there is no conflict,” Williams told Marca.

Williams (Diarra’s agent) avoided talks of a potential price for Lassana Diarra after reports emerged that Diarra and Real Madrid were having problems in evaluating the player. He said:

“The price of a hypothetical sale is determined on negotiations and not the will of the player,” he added.

Diarra made like 19 starts last season for Real Madrid and played in 41 of our matches. Pretty good playing time for my money but I do not know why Real Madrid want to sell him. Lass is one of the best midfielders in the world for his position and to be honest, Real Madrid got him on the cheap as he was playing for Portsmouth.

It is true that Diarra sometimes gets a bit too aggressive and tries to make impossible tackles for which he ends up getting booked and gives away needless free kicks but that’s a part of his job. His job is to break up attacks, work off the ball and be a physical presence in the midfield of Real Madrid. All of which Diarra does really well.

I hope Real Madrid do not make the same mistake they made with Makalele over here.
