What is happening with Kaka at Real Madrid. Some say he wants to leave Real Madrid. Kaka says he does not want to leave Real Madrid. Others say Mourinho wants a swap deal with him and Maicon of Inter Milan. While new reports say that Kaka is safe however, Maicon will still leave Inter Milan.
Mourinho is said to be more interested in young players and in one particular old player that is Maicon. Apart from him, he wants to get rid of old players at Real Madrid. Kaka is an old player. Not exactly, at 29 Kaka should be at the peak of his powers and I think he can show that if given sufficient amount of playing time.
Now that Real Madrid are off Aguero and pretty much Coentrao as well since Benfica is asking 30 million euros for the left back so I think there will be very few players arriving at Real Madrid this summer which is exactly what I wanted. Benfica want more money and Real Madrid do not want to pay more money.
However, Coentrao has publicly stated his love for Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho. Add to that he would link up with some of his best friends like Ronaldo, Carvalho, Pepe and I will put Maria’s name in there as well.
I do not want too many new faces at Real Madrid otherwise it would be another season with gelling problem but you would think Mourinho would give some though to that and he must have.
Maicon, I think would be a good addition to our squad. I think Mourinho wants to move Sergio Ramos in the center of defense and to partner Carvalho or Pepe. He wants someone good on the right and damn Maicon is good. Maicon is old and expensive. Two things that are huge obstacles to the possibility of him playing at Real Madrid next season.
Mourinho I think wants to get rid of some midfielders and wants to sign some defenders. We did come up short with talented defenders in the semi final of the Champions League second leg against Barcelona. Raul Albiol and Garay are not Champions League stuff yet. May be they will also transform themselves under Jose Mourinho but for now they are in a similar position as Marcelo was before the arrival of Jose Mourinho.
Kaka wants to prove himself at Real Madrid and sources close to Real Madrid say that he is absolutely committed to Real Madrid. Inter have also denied any possibility of there being a swap deal between Maicon and Kaka. And in all seriousness, who is dumb enough to swap Maicon flat for Kaka given that Maicon is old and Kaka is not. Also given that Maicon is a right back while Kaka is a attacker.
This deal cannot be pulled off in its current form. There has to be some money involved. That money has to go to Real Madrid and not the other way around like it was being suggested last season.
I think things like these always come to a bad end. If you ask me, I think by the end of the summer, we will see Maicon at Real Madrid and Kaka at Inter Milan. Leonardo is credited with discovering Kaka and he would love to work with him again at Inter Milan. Whereas Inter Milan also want to sell Maicon, though not on a swap deal.
So there is the deal. Inter want to sell Maicon. Inter want to buy Kaka. Real Madrid want to buy Maicon but are undecided on Kaka. Whereas Kaka himself does not want to leave Real Madrid. It is all a big mess right now.
