Ok. Let us recap for the thousandth time. Barcelona won the Champions League Final 2010-2011 against Manchester United by hammering them 3-1. All hail Barcelona’s brilliance and one Goal.com editor goes as far as, that we should all thank Barcelona for giving us the performance of the decade. What sort of a ridiculous demand is that.

Oh yeah, and did I mention, how magical Xavi, Iniesta and Messi were in the match (in a sarcastic way). They killed them. They killed them all.

Whatever Barcelona did, they did not do it to Real Madrid. A worthy opponent are we?

Xavi does not think so. Xavi thinks Real Madrid stink. Xavi don’t like Real Madrid. Why? I tell you why, it is because Real Madrid do not allow Xavi to play like he is playing in his backyard. Real Madrid try to compete for the ball and do not just stand their watching Xavi spinning around, passing the ball back to Pique who makes a very DIFFICULT pass back to Valdes.

Xavi also thinks that Manchester United played 1000 times better than Real Madrid. I guess that is the reason why they lost 3-1 playing 11 vs 11 while Barcelona could not even defeat a 11 man Real Madrid in the four previous meetings.

Point is, everybody has their own style of play. Like Rooney said the other day, Messi will not be able to play well in EPL as it is so physical. Messi likes to take on defenders who are watching his feet closely like a surgeon but defenders in EPL are no nonsense defenders. They barge into you like mega trucks.

That is why Barcelona were not able to play their tikki taka game against Real Madrid. People, try to understand, playing on your strengths is not evil at all. Barcelona play at their strength that is passing the ball and playing with great speed and accuracy. Real Madrid play in their own style, that is, keep the ball, defend well, team pressing and counter attacking football.

What is wrong with that? Just because Barcelona cannot do anything about it does not mean that it is anti football. Barcelona played well against Real Madrid, in fact they dominated every stat in the book except one. That is the amount of goals scored.

And were it not for some out of this world refereeing, we would all be sitting here with very different ideas about the way Real Madrid play their football.

Xavi should just concentrate on his job and not about Real Madrid players, who did not allow him to play his game.

He said in an interview:

“Madrid were the hardest opponents but not because they played football but because they wanted to destroy the game.

“I like Manchester United’s approach a thousand times better.

“It would be interesting to see what would happen if Real did play.”

    xabi is a good player yet he is gay . they only good at acting and bagging referee for fouls bunch of looser and sissies.
    pepe killed messi whats wrong with playing counter attack still a plan and a strategy , reminder still barca 5 champion league behind real so go train and b a man in the field like pepe and ramous and caravalo then talk (xavi)

    Indeed. Xavi is the biggest hypocrite in footballworld today. Some media and himself tries to build an image of him as a gentle and nice person, hes exactly the opposite. A douche with inferiority complex.

    and xavi is absolutely right. the only thing i saw in madrid tactics was: try to hold or foul barca’s players even if they didn’t had the ball. watch the games again and put your madrid glasses off. so you’ll maybe understand what – not just – xavi said.

     with the amount of quality you have you should have took the game to barca, you did yourselves no favours in the way that you approached the game. Before you defend the tactics and state that ‘you have to playa certain way v barca’ i shall remind you of the Arsenal performance v Barca at the Emirates where granted they played cautious but not to the extreme measures that Madrid did. They countered at every opportunity with numbers whereas Madrid countered with few. The only thing Mourinho cared about in those two games was his reputation, he did not want to get humiliated on the world stage and thus one of the most negative performances i have every witnessed came to be.

    Mourinho has brought nothing but negative press/opinions towards Madrid, a club with such class and prestigious history should not resort to such extreme negativity let alone the over the top brutality.Defend Mourinho’s tactics all you want but the fact is Madrid lost a lot of respect by all quarters in those two games, i like Madrid but Mourinho is attracting nothing but hate to that club with his approach. Madrid is better than Mourinho, get rid.

    U guys dont even know how to build team …. YOUTH POLICY ?? does it even exist ???  u build a team just like u r playing FIFA on playstation or xbox ?

    in fact i can build a better team with that much money .. remove Ronaldo and u r nothing !!!
