Ronaldo And Real Madrid?

jan solo 5 Ronaldo And Real Madrid?

Ronaldo has said that he is not going to leave Real Madrid, this summer at least. Well, I do not think he will leave Real Madrid as long as Mourinho is around. I think he has that connection with Jose Mourinho and in no way would Mourinho want to lose the most versatile attacking player in the world (Respect Barcelona).

Though I am not sure about Ronaldo’s intentions on his future with Real Madrid. He conveniently says that he will stay at Real Madrid because he has not won everything with Real Madrid. That tells me that he does not plan on staying at Real Madrid for too long.

Real Madrid look strong enough to win both La Liga and Champions League next season, so does that mean Ronaldo’s job would be done here? I think Yes. As much as I hate to admit it, both Ronaldo and Mourinho share this idea. Mourinho also left each and every club he has coached after winning everything with the particular club. Chelsea was an exception because he had a bust up with Roman Abramovich.

Ronaldo scored 40 goals in La Liga. 53 goals in total in the season 2010-2011. So he must have checked the column for individual records at Real Madrid in his diary.

Even though Ronaldo is a professional and I know that to stay motivated for more, one has to change clubs in football, contrary to what Pele said, but there are always exceptions. Raul is one of them. Maldini was one of them and Paul Scholes is certainly one of them. I do not think that would be the case with Ronaldo. He left Manchester United, that was the biggest signal of him being a mercenary.

Reports linking him to a return at Manchester United are therefore insane. He would never go back to EPL or Manchester United. He has done everything there. There is no point (in Ronaldo’s thinking) for him to return to BPL for another season or two.

Here is what Ronaldo said as I read on Goal.com

“I’m happy at Real. I want to win more titles for the club. I’m settled at Real Madrid and I have no intention of moving,”

“In relation to goals, it was a special season, without doubt. Scoring 50 odd goals is not easy, and I’m extremely pleased about it. But what I wanted more was titles”

“We’re at home, in front of our own fans. I’m confident we’ll win. I know Norway; I know they’re a good team. It’s going to be difficult but I believe Portugal will play a good game and win”

“If we win we’ll be first in the group. We have to beat Norway so we can go on holiday relaxed.”
