Jose Mourinho has been unlucky this season

Real Madrid find themselves 2nd in the Spanish league and are 7 points behind Barcelona. We also have an important match against Lyon in two weeks time and Barcelona have already beaten Arsenal by 3 goals to 1 yesterday to secure their progression through the next round of the Champions League.

Real Madrid have been out shined by Barcelona almost in every department. Barcelona do not spend as much as we do and still get results that Real Madrid do not. Barcelona have scored the most goals this season in La liga and have conceded the least goals as well this season.

Barcelona have beaten their fierce rivals Real Madrid 5-0 at Camp Nou. They have probably the greatest player of all time (in future I mean) in their squad in the form of Lionel Messi and on top of that they have Xavi and Iniesta playing on his back which is even worse if you are a Real Madrid fan.

We had no one to represent us in the World Player Of The Year Gala this year. All top 3 participants were from Barcelona side. Ronaldo just made it to the Fifa 11, not saying that it was fair or anything.

So what has been going wrong at Real Madrid, well among many things here are 5:

1. Real Madrid have been just plain unlucky in many games this season because of bad referee decisions. It has cost us at least 4 points last time I remembered.

2. Real Madrid have found themselves unlucky this season in the sense that in many tough matches we have found our key players either injured or suspended. This time of the season we needed our two key players, Ronaldo and kaka, the most and both are not in the best shape of their lives. Kaka is being rumored to be leaving Real Madrid while Ronaldo is recovering from an injury he picked up last week and let us just hope that he makes it to the Lyon clash fit and fresh

3.Barcelona have been playing too well this season. That is as plain as that. Either Barcelona are playing very well this season and when that is not the case then the opponents are gifting them goals in order to give them the 3 points.

4. Lionel Messi has been saving Barcelona in the late stages of important matches while there is no one at Real Madrid to do the same kind of thing when we are in trouble.

5. Jose Mourinho has not had the full backing of the administration in terms of the players he wants and the players he does not want. He also has not had the facility of having the whole squad at his disposal for use. One time or another, there is always a key player injured, do not know what Real Madrid fitness staff is being paid for.

But still there is hope. We can beat Barcelona at our home and that will cut their lead down. A couple of draws from Barcelona on top of parallel Real Madrid wins would certainly do the trick.

A Madrid fan! Stop looking for stupid excuses, you sound like an arsenal supporter. Barca are just better than us but am confident next year we can take them

The Higuain injury is definitely bad luck, but that’s been the really determinative injury. Kaka hasn’t been particularly worthwhile even when he’s been fit, and CR hasn’t been injured much this year. Also, how is it a matter of LUCK that Barça is outplaying Madrid? How is it luck that Messi is good enough to win games for his team when they’re off? He’s a phenomenal talent. Barça signed him, developed him, raised his pay, built their team around him, etc, etc. That they’re playing well and that he’s their star is a matter of good management, not luck.

That’s also why Mourinho’s struggles have NOTHING to do with luck. If he and the front office have problems, that’s because they’re not working together, not because they’ve been cursed by some unfair stroke of misfortune. He’s just not that good of a coach, as it happens: http://conorpwilliams.wordpress.com/2011/03/06/jose-mourinho-is-the-worlds-best-coach-what/
