Ronaldo likes Mourinho and Real Madrid edging closer
Real Madrid are finally taking big strides in the transfer market albeit not as big as the ones taken last season (but those were just insane steps). Reports now claim that Real Madrid have concluded the transfer of Khedira from Stuggart but nothing has been made official yet.
Khedira is more like a younger Ballack though his main strength is his positional sense. Khedira is 23 and impressed everyone at the FIFA WORLD CUP 2010. With Guti and Raul gone now, I think Mourinho can afford to add some more strength into the squad.
Real Madrid are also believed to be close to signing Maicon from Inter Milan. Apparently, both the clubs have agreed on a fee but Maicon’s wage demands are not what Real Madrid expected, therefore the negotiations have stalled again.
Maicon and his people think that somebody is trying to damage Maicon’s reputation and sabotage the negotiations. Do not know what he means by saying that. If wages are the reason then surely Maicon should know about the reason.
Ronaldo, meanwhile has resumed his training with Real Madrid a bit earlier than scheduled because he wants to get back into top physical shape. Ronaldo also is happy that Raul has a made a decision that suited his interests and is willing to succeed with Schalke.
Ronaldo now wants Raul’s number 7 shirt and I think he will be wearing that number next season. Number 9 does not look natural on Ronaldo. Not that he does not score that many goals but because we are more used to seeing him wear the number 7 shirt which was his old number at Manchester United.
Ronaldo also has stated that everybody is excited about the new season and the new project that Real Madrid have planned to begin with Mourinho. Mourinho’s training sessions excite Ronaldo because Ronaldo feels they are quite intense and involve a lot of ball work.
Ronaldo looks to me to be ready to face Barcelona’s challenge next season as he himself said that he would be sitting in his home if he did not believe that Real Madrid can beat Barcelona for any title this next season.
Hope he is right and I am excited about the new season now that we have heard the news that Real Madrid are closing in on making some big signings. HALA MADRID!!!
