Benzema better than Ibrahimovic for 4 Reasons

Ibrahimovic has so far payed dividends for what Barcelona spent on him
Ibrahimovic has been in scintillating form for Barcelona this season and has scored like 3 goals in 3 games. Benzema on the other hand has not lived up to the hype of “The new Ronaldo (the Brazilian one, MAN, I hate to specify this every time I mention him)”. Benzema has scored 1 goal so far and has 1 assist to his name as well. His only goal for Real Madrid came in the match against Xerez and it was a pretty good one. Might have taken a slight deflection off the defender but the way Benzema set himself up for that goal was extra ordinary, did the trademark Ronaldo step over, though not that fluid, to get away from the defender and find the space for a shot.
Ibrahimovic’s goals have been impressive too. His first goal was a bit of a stinker and judging by Ibra’s celebration, you would think he knew that too. His second goal was, hmmmm, how should I put it. I do not know if he meant what he did there. Nevertheless, it was a nice finish, very close to the opponents goal and for a striker of his size and strength, he moves exceptionally well inside the penalty area.

Ibra’s third goal was really, what you call class and gave us a hint of why a club such as Barcelona (not really known to splash out big sums of money on one single player) payed like 70 million euros for him. Anyway, Ibra was played into the penalty box with a through ball by Basquets I think, I do not remember exactly who (and I am too lazy to check it on the internet, lol) and he was about to get sandwiched between two defenders and in a blink of an eye he dinked the ball pass the keeper. He scored from a pretty difficult angle considering he was also being closed down by the on rushing keeper. Really technical goal.

Benzema is by no means a lesser of a player than Ibrahimovic
But, we cannot draw any conclusions from the first 4 games and therefore I have my own opinion as to why Benzema is a better deal for Real Madrid than Ibrahimovic for Barcelona.
- Benzema is 6 years younger than Ibrahamovic and is already commanding great respect throughout Europe. He has a lot of time to improve and would have cost a lot more to Real Madrid had they not snapped him up this season. I am glad Real Madrid did not go for Villa (well, he would have been a magnificent buy for Real Madrid but I would not have taken him at the expense of Benzema) and signed Benzema, this guy has a lot of potential and will, I am sure, prove it in the coming months.
- Benzema, despite being younger, has a more complete technique than Ibrahimovic at his peak age of 28. Benzema can run, shoot with both feet, dribble, head and can tough it out with the defenders too. Barcelona fans might say that Ibrahimovic has everything too but you will really be kidding yourself if you consider Ibrahimovic as someone who can actually RUN.
- Benzema is also better than Ibrahimovic for the simple fact that Real Madrid payed 35 odd million euros for him compared with Ibrahimovic’s 70 million euros. Despite his hefty price, Ibrahimovic is known to crack under pressure situations and is not known to be a BIG MATCH player. Benzema on the other hand as impressed against every European giant he has come across during his time at Lyon. The Champions League match against Manchester United is something to look at as a proof.
- Benzema has a goal ratio equal to that of Ibrahamovic and Benz has not even reached his peak yet. Both of a goal ratio of 0.44 and you would suspect that Ibrahimovic’s goal ratio is bound to go down as he approaches the wrong side of 30. Benzema on the other hand can only improve his striking rate if he stays focused and motivated.

Benzema has great composure and sense of position, at such a young age
Well, these were the reasons why I think Benzema is (or at the least ,WILL) become a better player than Ibrahimovic. Only time will tell how both of these brilliant athletes perform for two of the biggest football clubs in the world. Ibrahimovic is doing better than Benzema at the moment but I am sure that as soon as Benzema gets a hold of La Liga and it’s different style to that of the French League, he would be a huge success.

Ibrahimovic is all smiles at the moment but it remains to be seen as to who gets the last laugh
Plus, we should all give Benzema another edge and that is, he is not the target man at Real Madrid. He has players like C.Ronaldo and Kaka playing alongside him, so he has to share the possession and also the goal with some of the best in the business while Ibrahimovic at Barcelona is basically their hitman and is given the most opportunities to score goals. Sure, Barcelona also has Messi, Xavi, Iniesta but these are less selfish players than C.Ronaldo or lets say Higuain etc, players who are constantly fighting for their place in the starting eleven of Real Madrid.
