I agree, sign Messi, why not, he is just a player like any other, so what if he plays for Barca, I remember when other Madridista shown racism to our good players like Ronaldo and Robinho, if some Madridista acted that way, I guess its not bad afterall that we acted like we want to sign a good player from a rival. I think we need to have a stable team management, like coaches and scouts that can sign potential superstar so we can pay our debt, remember we are able to be so irrational in spending because we were able to sell robinho.

Beckham is a marketing decision, He has something that no other player in the last 20 years did'nt have, He sell merchandise like pancakes. Make an ugly art or rug doll out of him and people will buy it. That was then, until Galaxy hired him, MLS needs more than Beckham to succeed, he can sell a team but not the league.

I think Madrid did it in the past and I think PLAYERS plays for the fame and money, offer something to them that they cannot have on thier current team… Madrid is still REAL and Barca will just be the challenge… Young Talents are just a product of luck, scouting still works because Talents are discovered it doesnt matter where they play on thier youth. Barca just got lucky from Messi. I think if Messi did'nt happened to them, Madrid will not make all this signings.

ur pretty much spot on with ur 1st point…but v dont need english players..real players have enthusiasm !! v need technical class more. v only have through robben, no other player dribbles past defenders..for that v need more south american players..look at gago,higuain, v should buy more from argentina. the defence has improved drastically under juande , he is a pretty decent coach..basic is to improve defence , u cant ask a coach to guide a sinking ship to directly playing joga bonito..real is improving greatly , v just need the off the field drama to end up and buy a quality winger who can play on either wing with comfort cuz robben on left is good , but on right is better !
