Real Madrid’s Champions League Squad

Real Madrid have almost confirmed the inclusion of Diarra in their Champions League squad and have left out Klass Jan Huntelaar. I would have thought that Real Madrid definitely needed to strengthen their attack rather than defence, because we have Gago there, not that Diarra is no good, Diarra has been our second best player since his debut (after Robben). I like him, but I think for the Champions League, we do need a pure, out n out striker.
Not attacking midfielders like Higuain and Raul, both are good but we need someone like a Van Nistelrooy. But on the other hand, Huntelaar did not do himself any favours also, he did not perform in any of his games, missed a sitter in his debut game, yeah he was out of touch because of his recent injury, but this is Real Madrid, you perform or you do not play (atleast while Juande Ramos is incharge).
Anyway, I think Juande Ramos was not too impressed by Huntelaar’s peformances as he should be and Diarra took this opportunity and was our main man in the midfield and prooved his worth to the Real Madrid coach, I think that is what Juande Ramos must have liked about this guy, Lassana Diarra, he is not afraid to go and ask for the ball from his teammates and likes to boss the midfield.
I think he will be pretty helpful, because of his physicality and his experience in the English Premier league, which means that no one is going to man handle him in the middle of the park.
