Robinho has thrown away the famous White Jersey in exchange for money but who is now going to replace him

OK, the question that has been looming over Real Madrid’s hierarchy is that who is going to replace Robinho from the current squad. After giving it a thought, I think there are few players in the current squad that could possibly make up for Robinho’s absence but still it is a big loss considering that Real Madrid did not sign a replacement for him.

As much as I hate to admit it, but Robinho was the wing wizard for Real Madrid, his magic feet could do some pretty nifty tricks which could easily beat defenders.

Anyway, I was playing my usual FIFA 08 on xbox 360 (which has not burnt by the way, YET) as FIFA 09 is not out yet. And I noticed something. Yeah, I do notice a lot things don’t I. I usually play with a 3-4-3 formation and play with the opponent at the LEGENDARY level which is like the most difficult one and I beat Barcelona (by far the strongest team, very unfair player rating in the game I have to say).

I beat Barcelona at the Camp Nou with Real Madrid (one of the weakest teams, unfair again), and I noticed that which players can Schuster possibly use. Don’t get me wrong, I know FIFA 08 is just a game.

Anyway, as I said I use the 3-4-3 formation, specially since the day Schuster became the coach as I love attacking football. Good old fashioned G- force, heavy duty,  pile driving aggressive football.

I use Van Nistelrooy in the middle of the attacking trio, he usually plays at the centre of opponents box and I let Robinho (who has left Real Madrid) and Robben play on the either wing where they take on defenders and bomb the opponent’s goal.

Now as being a true Real Madrid fan, I have stopped playing Robinho in my side, as he is a traitor, that is for sure, I mean look at the way he just turned away from Real Madrid. And Even Chelsea, last time I checked, Robinho made a statement this week that he will show Chelsea that Chelsea should have paid more for him to sign him from Real Madrid.

Just a Jerk, anyway, back to his replacement issue. I then used Higuain, and I gotta tell ya, that was  a bad decision, I rely heavily on pace and ball control, Higuain had none. So I switched to someone I do not like as a player in real life and neither do most of the die hard Real Madrid fans because he played for Barcelona, none other than Javier Saviola.

And Boom I found it (in the game that is), he had pace and just the right kind of ball control I was looking for to cut in on defenders and leave them eating my dust. I did not want someone with the control of Zidane, as that would be too much so I think Saviola should, would, could be given a chance in the real life as well.

He is not that bad a player, He has showed it in the past that he can be of use to any team. The main problem is that Real Madrid is such a big club, every player is expected to have somehting no one has in the whole of Spain, no not Spain, not Madrid, but the whole world.

And if you look closely, Every player in the current starting line up for Real Madrid has something no other player has in the whole wide world.

To sum up Robinho’s replacement issue, I think there is none in the current squad that can do it. Robinho’s talent is unquestioned. But realistically speaking, I would go for Drenthe to play over there, or may be even push Raul, though he does not have pace, but his work ethic would be very useful especially when back tracking to defend the Real Madrid goal which Robinho rarely did.

Moving on to , the next headline and that is , Guti also does not like Robinho now for the obvious reasons.

Guti did not like what Robinh said about Real Madrid

Guti did not like what Robinh said about Real Madrid

Guti believes that it was not that serious an issue which Robinho took so seriously, may be it was but then again, there is not a single club on the planet where it does not happen. Players like Robinho are subjected to speculation and I think Ramon Calderon has other IMPORTANT things to do than to reconcile Robinho’s misunderstandings and his insecurities, which I think was the primary cause that Robinho felt he was not being valued at Real Madrid.

Guti said:

“I am not going to talk about players that are no longer here. I respect Robinho, but he is no longer part of Real Madrid. I simply wish him all the best,” he told reporters.

“I do not understand those who don’t want to be part of the best club of the 20th century. He should be fully aware of what he says. We are proud of being here and many of those who’ve already left us are also proud for having once been part of this team.

Guti however did say that Real Madrid would have benefited from new signings contrary to what Calderon said few days ago.

I naturally think the squad can be improved, but we will be able to do well in the three championships if we don’t sustain many injuries,” he continued.

I think the club tried hard to bring people and was successful in the case of Van der Vaart, who is a great player. There’s been less success elsewhere. I think the squad is good enough to fight for every title, but I believe there’s always room for improvement.”

Now, hold on a second here. If anyone should be complaining about not being valued enough at Real Marid then it should be Guti not Ex-real madrid player Robinho. Guti has to compete with Sneijder and Van Der Vaart to get a place in the starting line up. Guti could have done the same when Sneijder was signed or ven when Van Der Vaart was signed as to a person like Robinho, it would have felt like an offense to sign players for his position (which Robinho did feel like an offense).

Unlike Robinho, Guti thinks that competition is good for the team and will push them all to perform at their best if they want to play in the starting line up for Real Madrid.

It is difficult. There’s three of us for two positions, which will strengthen competition between us and give us more time to rest when needed. It’s best for the coach, the team and ourselves,” he explained.

Guti played all but the last ten minutes of Madrid’s opening game against Deportivo but picked up a knock in training which he is still trying to shake off.

I have got a niggle on my tibia,” he said. “It’s slightly inflamed and it’s best not to train until it restores itself. I don’t know how much longer it will be this way.

I simply have to wait for the moment. I hope to return soon in order to help the team on Sunday.

UPDATE:

Good news for all Real Madrid fans as Sniejder is up and Running at Real Madrid.

Sniejder back for Real Madrid not this sunday though, not even the next

Sniejder back for Real Madrid not this sunday though, not even the next

Real Madrid received a fitness boost when Wesley Sneijder started running again on Tuesday after more than five weeks out of action with an injury.

Sniejder suffered a blow to the ligaments in his left knee during the pre-season friendly with Arsenal  due to a monstrous tackle he suffered from that stupid Abu Diaby and Sneijder was told that he would be out for two months.

With Bernd Schuster having fewer players in his squad that he wanted due to Real Madrid’s inability to sign a new forward, Sneijder’s absence has been even more noticed.

After making his way out on the to pitch at Madrid’s Valdebebas training complex, he was applauded by the first team players present.

After being advised that he would not be back until October, Sneijder could be ahead of schedule in his race to regain his full fitness and to start playing again.

Running is another step in his recovery, but the Sniejder is also having to work almost full-time in the gymnasium with the club’s physiotherapists.

I hope he can speed up a little more and come back for the game agianst Numancia (highly unlikely, almost impossible, but as ADIDAS say, “Nothing is impossible” and as Rafael Nadal says, “I try my best“, so I would tell Sniejder, to try your best.
