Casillas defends Real Madrid president Calderon over Ronaldo snub
Iker Casillas has defended Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon after his failure to sign Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Spain goalkeeper said: “Clearly, in the mind of the president he was always trying to bring him here. But if the player has confusing ideas, leaving and then not wanting to … there is little Calderon could do.
“People might ask explanations, it is true, but the numbers are there for Calderon: two years, two leagues trophies.”
