Casillas Wants David Villa
Casillas pleads Real Madrid to sign David Villa
Iker Casillas has backed Real Madrid’s pursuit of both Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo and Valencia striker David Villa.
I am not a huge David Villa fan but I have to say that it was very wise of Casillas to say that he would welcome David Villa, because I think in terms off sporting value, David Villa can equal C.Ronaldo though he cannot compete with C.Ronaldo commercial value.
Real Madrid need a striker and David Villa is a striker, there is nothing more I can say on this because I think Real Madrid have far better options to buy than David Villa, David Villa has only one advantage over all others and that is, he has played in the La Liga for quite a while so probably knows how to play here but still I think Huntelaar would be a way better option, this player can do magic stuff, Villa can only do high class stuff not unbelievable things.
Casillas is a teammate of David Villa in the Spanish National Squad so obviously he is going to praise David Villa no matter what but I beg to differ.
Anyway, The Real goalkeeper said: “I know Villa rather better than Cristiano. Besides being a teammate, he is a great player and if he was to come I would be delighted.”
“We want to have a team that can do extremely well in all three competitions.“
