Chelsea End Robinho Chase
Real Madrid asking price for Robinho was ended any interest there was in Chelsea to sign Robinho. Real Madrid is asking more than Chelsea are willing to offer (quite obvious isn’t it). Apparently Chelsea were prepared to offer £25 millioin but Real Madrid went up even higher to £30 million and also want to include some clauses which would cost Chelsea way more than they thought what Robinho would cost.
I think Chelsea is finally going to decide that they are going to have to stick with Shaun wright philips and Joe Cole because no good winger is going to cost less than that. The closest Chelsea has been to a winger apart from Robinho is ofcourse Quaresma who is probably going to cross around 40 million euros.
So this means two things, One, Real Madrid do not want to loose Robinho and Two , the Ronaldo deal is almost close to a complete failure.
I think what Chelsea would now do probably is that they would try to sell Philips and Joe Cole to get some extra cash in to finance the Robinho deal in time which I hope does not happen because whatever happens, as long as Robinho himself does not want to play for Real Madrid I think I ll be more than happy to have him in Real Madrid squad because on his day he can be better than C.Ronaldo for sure and can play equal to Messi if not better.
