Ramon Calderon having a laugh over Ronaldo signing
I was reading about this news which said that Calderon is hopeful that C.Ronaldo would eventually sign for Real Madrid ,which means Ronaldo is not coming to Real Madrid this season after all but just to lessen the excitement in the squad, he joked with them concerning the arrival of Ronaldo by saying “Ronaldo will be here soon”. Hah, good joke.
C.Ronaldo is going to play for Manchester United for another season
This is a small portion of what I read at a site:
Los Merengues’ president is staying in the Algarve while the squad are there on a pre-season training camp and went to visit the team at their base, according to AS.
When he turned up some of the players shouted jokingly: “Presi, when is Cristiano coming?” To which Calderón replied: “Don’t worry, he will be here soon.”
The light-hearted moment had a serious side behind it as Calderón knows that he will have some face-saving to do if he fails to prise the player away from Manchester United.
I think Calderon just said that because he wants the squad to calm down now and concentrate on its work instead of thinking about C.Ronaldo and his arrival. Real Madrid has turned its attention to other players namely Van Der Vaart and Huntelaar ,though Huntelaar rumor has also cooled down, which clearly tells me that Ronaldo is staying with Manchester United this season at the least.
I also heard that Calderon held talks with Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster and told him about the situation regarding Ronaldo just as to let Schuster know that he should make the team strategies and stuff according to the current squad because Ronaldo is probably not going to come to Real Madrid.
