Luis Fabiano isn’t interested in leaving Sevilla.
The striker has been linked with Real Madrid, but says: “I do not know anything of Real and, anyway, I spoke with president Jose Maria Del Nido and I confirmed that I will be here next season.”
“I will not leave Sevilla like Seydou Keita, Daniel Alves and Christian Poulsen.”
My Thoughts
Ahh, excuse me, but did Fabiano just reject Real Madrid. Man that is certainly a first time, well not absolutely the first time but you get the idea. I think he has not had a concrete offer from Real Madrid yet that’s why he is happy staying put at Sevilla.
Sevilla is not a small club, but it is a selling club and I think at some point or another, Sevilla will sell Fabiano, I think he needs a change now that he has done so well with Sevilla. I would like him at Real Madrid as he is very unpredictable, he is not like the old Ronaldo or Henry where everyone is just scared by the mere mention of his name but I think he can be quite a handful. Teams tend to underrate him as a striker and he always seems to take advantage of that.
I think Real Madrid should sign him if we do not get Huntelaar this season, but 30 million euro is far too much for Fabiano, he is probably worth 10 million pounds not more. I think he is not a special talent, just a very consistent and content striker who would not mind sitting on the bench and would not be a big ego in the dressing room either. Ithink this is one probelm Real Madrid could have if they sign Huntelaar, a talent like Huntelaar is not going to tolerate what Real Madrid did to Saviola and I am not comparing Saviola to Huntelaar, Huntelaar is better even at this stage.
I think this is some sort of a attack of Daniel Alves , Poulsen and Keita by Fabiano. Listen buddy, those three left because they deserved it, they were all good enough to join the great clubs of European Foobtall. I do not think that Fabiano has that sort of a talent that could take him to a big European club. I think he is more like Saha who will evantually go to a big club but only as a sub striker, used for emergency only.
I think he needs to develop some individual skils in order to play as a starter for a big club like Real Madrid or Barcelona. I think what he does now is just pure consistency and we all know that form is temporary, class is permanent. Fabiano is not of the highest class and is very consistent, or atleast he was last season.
Anyway, I think Real Madrid should not buy him for that amount of money, that would be like the worst signing of the summer for that amount. I think if Sevilla ask like 3 million for him then buy him. I know I am being unrealistic but that is what I think Fabiano is worth.
