Man Utd’s Ronaldo refuses to apologise for Blatter backing

Cristiano Ronaldo has refused to back away from comments that Manchester United are treating him like a slave.
The £120,000-a-week Portuguese ace seized on comments made by FIFA president Sepp Blatter, who claimed Ronaldo should be allowed to leave United and that making him stay was like slavery.
He was handed the opportunity to retract his statement as he recovered from ankle surgery.
But Ronaldo, 23, instead chose to whine about “the worst injury of my career “.
He told The Sun: “I don’t want to speak about that again. I’ve said all I had to say “
“I only want to recover from my injury “
“This is the worst injury of my career but I’m optimistic. I hope the treatment goes well so I can start training earlier.”
My Thoughts
I am not backing up Ronaldo’s reaction nor am I with what Blatter said. I think the “slave” comment from blatter was a bit over the top, first I did not take notice of this but now that everybody is talking about it, I went back and read it again. Yeah I think he should not have that. But I agree to Blatter in the sense that a player should be allowed to leave if the player wants to leave.
A club should not have that much power to hold a player against the player’s will and I think that is what Ronaldo was supporting. I do not think Ronaldo had that “slave” comment in his mind.
I am a little bit confused right now. 90 % of Manchester United’s fan say Ronaldo should leave, 80 % of Real Madrid fans say Real Madrid should not sign him. Whats going on then. Ronaldo- the best player in the world or one the best in the world is not wanted by the fans of two of the biggest clubs in the world.
I think it has more to do with his character rather than his football talent. He is an exceptional talent, no doubt but his thirst for money and fame I think is leading him down infront of some of his fans. I do not blame Ronaldo for this, ofcourse everyone wants money and fame but I think Ronaldo is just the wrong guy in the wrong place.
I think Ronaldo was wrong to state that he wanted to leave Manchester United, he could have done so next season when he could have said that he needs a new challenge to motivate himself to perform at the level he is performing so he must leave Manchester United as he has done everything what could be done at Manchester United.
Now it seems like Ronaldo just wants a pay hike and wants to be a part of the most expensive transfer in the history of football.
That is not good sign for even Real Madrid, I said it before that if Ronaldo can leave Manchester United at a stage where ,the club wants him, the fans want him, he has a huge salary, he has a huge status at the club and has a guaranteed place in the starting line up then what guarantee does Real Madrid has that Ronaldo will not leave Real Madrid too at such stage which would certainly disrupt Real Madrid’s whole squad as Ronaldo would be a key component in anybody’s team.
The only reason I can think of that he wont leave Real Madrid (if he joins Real Madrid) like he wants to leave Manchester United is that Real Madrid is the biggest club in the world and every player wants to play for Real Madrid because Real Madrid is the ultimate destination. When a kid starts playing football, the dream he has above all is to play for Real Madrid, that is the only guarantee that I can think of concerning Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid the same way he wants to leave Manchester United.
