Baptista, not interested in Galatasaray
The agent of Julio Baptista has dismissed talk of a move to Galatasaray for the Real Madrid midfielder.
Galatasaray have made contact with Real and are discussing a fee for the Brazil international, but agent Herminio Menendez insists: “I can rule out Galatasaray. He will not go there.”
Menendez added: “I get plenty of phone calls from Italy asking about Roma, but I’ve never had direct contact with them regarding Baptista.”

This actually did cross my mind when I heard this news the first time that Baptista is linked with Galatasaray. I was really impressed with Baptista, when I read that news that he linked with Galatasaray because I thought he would not move from Real Madrid to such a club, which does not even play Champions League regularly.
Then I thought may be Baptista is just looking to get some first team action, no matter where he plays. Turns out, he is not interested in Galatasaray, ofcourse one can understand that moving to such a club would be like taking a step backwards and Baptista does not want to do that.
I think he should move to an English Premier League club. Lets say that Baptista joins Newcastle or Blackburn. If he performs well for these teams then there is a great chance of him being noticed by Manchester United’s and the Chelsea’s and eventually playing for the big four of Epl.
Whereas if he moves to lets say Turkey or France even (apart from two three teams the French League is not very competitive) even if he performs well, it will be hard for Baptista to come into notice of some big European club as French and Turkish leagues do not get that much media coverage as does the Epl teams.
So if I was Baptista, my preference would have been to get loaned to AC Milan or Chelsea and then perform well there to get signed permanently and if thats not possible then stay at Real Madrid and wait for my chances.
