Real Madrid ponder over Robinho sale
Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has stated the club do not have any desire to sell Robinho.
The Brazilian has been a hot topic of debate this summer, as his future has been shrouded in doubt due to Real’s pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo.
It had been suggested Real would look to sell Robinho in a bid to finance a blockbusting move for Manchester United star Ronaldo, with Chelsea rumoured to be in the hunt for his signature.
Real are still keen on Ronaldo, with Calderon suggesting on Monday that if he was a betting man his money would be on the Portuguese being a Madrid player next term, but he says there are no plans to sell Robinho.
“We have the intention to make very few changes, neither in arrivals nor departures,” Calderon told AS.
“The squad is young and it is strong.
“There are no direct negotiations at the moment for the exit of Robinho.”
My Thoughts
Yeah, very smart from Calderon, interesting to note that nowhere did he say that they will not sell Robinho, neither did he say that even if Ronaldo is signed , Robinho will stay at the club. Look at the last statement, he just said there are no direct contact. Hmm, looks like Robinho is going somewhere and that somewhere is not Real Madrid.
