De La Red has impressed a few from his limited but good performances in the Euros
A host of Premiership clubs are circling for Real Madrid midfielder Ruben de la Red.
Marca says Arsenal, Tottenham and Aston Villa are all chasing De La Red, whose asking price has skyrocketed after a successful 12 months at Getafe.
My Thoughts
I saw him when Capello was in charge at Real Madrid and I can tell you that De La Red has got talent but is not an all around player, he will require tremendous amount of hard work to improve his game. He plays more like Guti than any other, has good passing ability, good vision for the game, has a good touch on the ball and is very hard working.
His shooting is the thing that needs to improve a lot, also he needs to get some pace on him, his legs look like a 30 year old’s legs, he must start hitting the gym regularly to improve his physical condition. I want him to be sold so that he can also get on and build his career somewhere else because at Real Madrid his chances are very limited.
