Real Madrid want Cristiano Ronaldo AND Didier Drogba
News
Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has launched a double charm offensive to try to sign Didier Drogba AND Cristiano Ronaldo.
Calderon is negotiating with Roman Abramovich over Chelsea striker Drogba about a £20million move to the Bernabeu.

That deal becomes more likely as Russian striker Andrei Arshavin flies in tomorrow for talks with a view to joining Chelsea from Zenit St Petersburg for £12m.

Chelsea have signed up the Russian youngster who performed very well at the Euro’s
Madrid chief Calderon has also offered Manchester United an olive branch, promising to leave the way clear for them to sign Dimitar Berbatov – if Ronaldo joins the La Liga champions.
Calderon has forged a friendship and alliance with Stamford Bridge owner Abramovich in the past few weeks while discussing a potential move for Robinho.

Calderon (Real Madrid president) is a smart guy and likes to be friends to Billionares
Real are willing to let striker Robinho go in a player-pluscash deal if it means they can land Ronaldo from Old Trafford.
But they may also be interested in a very similar arrangement with Chelsea for Drogba.

Real Madrid are prepared to let Robinho go if C.Ronaldo arrives
The Blues are determined to sell the 30-year-old Drogba after he grew disillusioned following the departure of Jose Mourinho.
Drogba has also attracted the interest of Inter and AC Milan.

Adramovich ready to do some business
But now Abramovich’s relationship with Calderon has also paved the way for Real to sign Drogba, who is open to moving to Spain.
Drogba’s agent Pierre Frelot said: “Why not? Didier is calm because he is at a great club like Chelsea, but Real Madrid are a great club also “
Calderon has infuriated United and Sir Alex Ferguson with his public pursuit of Ronaldo, which led to the Old Trafford club reporting them to FIFA.
But Real are now ready to try and resurrect their faltering attempts to get Ronaldo by trying to cut a transfer deal with United.
The Spaniards have also been tracking Tottenham striker Berbatov, but are ready to stand aside and leave the way clear for United – as long as they sell them Ronaldo.

United have dug their heels in and are refusing to sell Ronaldo, but Real’s new approach is designed to try to broker some peace with the Champions League winners.

Ronaldo welcomes Real Madrid with open arms but Manchester United wont let Real Madrid sign Ronaldo
Ferguson is a huge admirer of Berbatov – but Spurs do not want to sell to another Premier League club. Tottenham are demanding £25m, and up to £10m more from an English club.
My Thoughts
Ok, this is getting messier and messier. Real Madrid will only sell Robinho if C.Ronaldo is signed from Manchester United, whereas Manchester United want to buy Berbatov but Real Madrid are ready to provide some competition there so that Manchester United do not get a clear shot at Berbatov.
Real Madrid would allow Manchester United to sign Berbatov only if Manchester United let C.Ronaldo go, but if Manchester United don’t, then Real Madrid would buy Drogba in a cash plus player deal, the player would be Robinho if Real Madrid buy C.Ronaldo not otherwise.
I think Real Madrid should not sign Drogba for that amount of money, I think he is 31 which is a bit on the older side and has a heavy touch on the ball, uses his physical strength a lot, he will be very effective in La Liga but I do not know where Real Madrid would play him as Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Raul are playing very well.
C.Ronaldo, well, he is a must for Real Madrid now as all other good wingers have signed for another club or are about to sign for another club and if Real Madrid do not sign Ronaldo then Real Madrid would have just the Robinho and Robben combination on the wings. At the beginning I thought Real Madrid was kidding when they talked about a world record transfer fee.
I thought Real Madrid would be wise enough to sign Quaresma, Huntelaar and Diego for that much money but then again Real Madrid saw things from another perspective. Real Madrid saw the economic benefits that Ronaldo would bring to the club and I do not go against that I think money is important too so HALA MADRID.
