Champions League Winners Manchester United and La Liga Champions Real Madrid are in a race to sign Colombian International Rademel Falcao Garcia from River Plate, according to reports in Spain.

River Plate have already rejected a bid of €15million(£11.9m) for the 22-year-old striker from Serie A side AC Milan, and Aston Villa have also been linked to Falcao, who has scored 38 goals in 58 appearances for River Plate.

Now it appears that the two clubs at the centre of the Cristiano Ronaldo saga, will lock horns again for the Colombian front-man, something his agent Nestor Sivori confirmed.

He is being followed by both clubs.” Sivori said.

Also stating: “nothing is concrete, but when the right moment comes they will analyze all their possibilities”.

Falcao added: “I’m happy for this interest, because it will surely allow River to continue growing.

“I haven’t received any offers and for now I will stay at River Plate”.

My Thoughts

He wants to touch the stars, but has to wait a little longer

I think it has to be said that scoring goals in Argentina is not the most difficult thing, he or any other football player is going to come across especially if this guy wants to become a great player while playing for Real Madrid or Manchester United. It comes to me as a no surprise thing, that Manchester United and Real Madrid are both interested in him.

They are the two biggest clubs in the world and any talent that arises is bound to get chased by these two, in the end Real Madrid always win due to its superior financial situation.
