Daniel Opare Dreams Big …At Real Madrid
News
He is a very talented full back, fortunately he is at Real Madrid
Former AshGold player, Daniel Opare is relishing a huge breakthrough in the Real Madrid team where he currently plies his trade.
The 17-year- old former Black Starlets defender who was transferred from the Obuasi club to Real Madrid immediately after the world under-17 championships in South Korea last year, is hoping to gain promotion into the senior side of the Rosoneri not withstanding the opposition.
Opare, widely regarded as the best defender at the FIFA U17 World Cup, told some journalists that his main vision is to become a first team member of Real Madrid, arguably the best club in the world.
“I know I am capable of making it big at Real because I have been working hard for it“.
His form convinced former Black Stars coach, Claude Le Roy to include him in his 34-man Black Stars squad for the Nation’s Cup in Ghana this year but injury forced the defender out of the competition
My Thoughts
I have not seen very much of this guy but one thing I know is that he is turning 18 in October and has performed at exceptional levels for Real Madrid youth sides.
He is still a young boy, but is oozing with confidence as according to him he can rub shoulders with the likes of Sergio Ramos and Pepe for the right full back position, well pepe most of the time plays as a central defender.
If Opare is worth something then this could actually benefit Real Madrid as Cannavaro and Metzelder are not world class defenders now, so Opare’s talent could force Schuster to shift Ramos in the middle which will actually help Real Madrid form a solid central defensive partnership.
He is also recognized by World Soccer Magazine as one of the 50 Most Exciting Teenagers on the Planet in their November 2007 Issue, young Opare received rave reviews for using his incredible pace and precision crossing to great effect for the Black Starlets at the 2007 U-17 World Cup.
