Chelsea begin Robinho negotiations, claims agent
News

Chelsea have begun negotiations with Robinho, the Real Madrid forward, according to the the player’s agent.
Vagner Ribeiro, Robinho’s representative, claims to have met Frank Arnesen, Chelsea’s sporting director, to discuss a deal that could take the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge.
Luiz Felipe Scolari, who officially began his role as Chelsea manager today, has already completed the signing of Deco and seems keen to make Robinho his second signing at the club.
The Brazilian cost Real £16.5 million when he moved from Santos three years ago. He is unhappy with his £30,000-a-week wages – tax free – at the Bernabeu Stadium but could cost Chelsea up to £36m.
“It’s true that Chelsea are interested in signing Robinho,” Ribeiro said. “They have been after him for a while and there has been much more contact since Scolari became the new Chelsea coach.
“I met with Arnesen in London and he confirmed to me that Chelsea wanted my player for next season “
My Thoughts

Robinho’s agent think he is being degraded at Real Madrid, certainly in that photo
Chelsea is becoming more and more interested in Robinho as Abramovich tries to build his dream team again, after the Mourinho Era did not entertain Abramocivh too much.
Robinho’s agent clearly wants Real Madrid, to now, value Robinho as a top class player as he has performed at that levels in the Chmapions League where he single handedly saved the game for Real Madrid against Olympiakos where he scored two goals when Real Madrid was a goal down.
Also, in that match he provided Real Madrid with a penalty kick when he was fouled in the penalty area but Ruud Van Nistelrooy missed from the spot, but Robinho did not give up then , and in the final moments of the game, he made a scintilating run, taking one three defenders, beating them one by one and then passing the ball to his teammate to get a assist as well.
Robinho scored 11 goals in 32 games last season, his agent says that Robinho wants to continue with Real Madrid, but will leave if Real Madrid continue to udnervalue him, and his agent has specificly said that Robinho’s frustrations are partly because of his salary and partly because of his status at Real Madrid, as a part-exchange player for Ronaldo whereas his agent thinks Robinho is as good as Ronaldo.
Interesting to see, what develops of this situation because Real Madrid is now caught between Robinho and Ronaldo, first Real Madrid want to make sure that Ronaldo is signed, only then Real Madrid is prepared to talk about Robinho’s transfer so that is really a difficult situation for both Real Madrid and Robinho.
