Seems to me that Calderon realises that Manchester United is not going to sell Ronaldo, atleast for this year or may forever (till his contract expires). Whether Manchester United really want to keep Ronaldo or they are just testing Real Madrid’s patience of not cracking thatr 100 million euro mark for the transfer.
Calderon knows this as well but has again has not shut the door completely by making these statements. So I think Real Madrid is not going to have Ronaldo at the White House next season, rumours had it that Real Madrid have included C.Ronaldo in their pre-season campaign.
Whether or not this move goes through, one thing is for sure and that is, Ronaldo’s performance will be affected in the coming season as he would not play with the same motivation as last season.
There is too much happening at Real Madrid all the time, and that is the reason that he want to come to Real Madrid, he wants to be in the spotlight for the rest of his career which at Manchester United (a stable club) he will not get. Real Madrid fans are much more passionate about football then English Fans, English fans come to see the game when they have the money, Spanish Fans save money by cutting their food to watch a football player in a match.
