This match really showed the true character of this Real Madrid side, Real Madrid had a negative start in the game with Miguel Torres being sent off in the 18nth minute mark, but sniejder scored a wonder goal in the second half which was enough for Real Madrid to win the game as Real Madrid fought hard to defend well. Six games more to go and as Barcelona drew their match 2-2, the lead is now of 9 points.

This stage of the season is always difficult with every team fighting for something and Real Murcia were fighting for the champions league spot which made them a very determined side, which wanted to beat Real Madrid. Real Madrid was without the services of Sergio Ramos due to suspension a Robinho started instead of Higuain against a Murcia side who had recently beaten Valencia.

Real Madrid looked to take the lead very early in the first half with Sneijder involved in every chance Real Madrid made, but the whites suffered a set back after Miguel Torres was red carded for a a tackle from behind, not a sliding tackle but a tackle, I personally thought that it was a shocker from the referee as I thought it was not even a yellow card offense, but in the first half analysis I heard the commentators saying that it deserved a red card, I still dont know why.

Pepe also got the yellow card after elbowing an opponent team player, which I thought was a red card and even Pepe started to walk when he saw the referee reaching for his pocket for a card, same as I, Pepe also thought of a red card but the referee gave a yellow card.
