Real Madrid 3-2 Villareal

Ok first thing I want to say is that my cable tv service sucks and it does suck, I don’t want to describe how or why it sucks, it just sucks, enough said. I could not watch the match due to my sucking cable service so I just read some post match pressers from real madrid players and real madrid coach Bernd Schuster. From what I read I can safely infer that villareal tried hard but real madrid were just too good with robinho scoring just days after his 24 rth anniversary. Real madrid scored their first goal of the match 9 minutes into the game, Robinho being the scorer. Villareal came back in the back thankx to an equalizer in the 16nth minute by rossi.

First half score line was 1-1 so after the restart real madrid just shifted a gear or two and got the second goal again , robinho being the scorer with a delightful ball by guti in the 53rd minute.  Villareal showed why they are still third in the league as they equalized again in the 76 minute through capdevilla. As we all know, if you score two goals against real madrid, real madrid would score 4 against you. That was the order of the day as real madrid quickly regained the lead through second half subtitute sneijder.

Now I have some good news and some more good news. Good news is that real madrid won and barcelona were held to a 1-1 draw by athletic bilbao. More good news is that now real madrid lead the second place barcelona by 9 points. Only God can stop real madrid from winning the title this season now.  This big a lead was really unimaginable at the start of the season as I loved the way capello got this team to win the almost lost league title on the last day of the schedule.

Anyway it has been a fantastic season, one of the best in real madrid history, so far but who knows what the future has in store for real madrid in the coming months. Now they just need to focus some more and rotate the team a bit more to get the freshness back into the players who play week in and week out.

Finally I would like to quote what calderon said after the game:

 Strong words from the real madrid president but I think real madrid now deserve to get this much praise as they have just annihilated every team that dared to step against them on the field, at the moment I would say, real madrid is the best team in the world right now. Tomorrow I might change my mind.
